During the past year ENCOD members participated in the elaboration of a Research on “Drugs and Diplomacy”. This research included various activities, among others, two workshops in Murgia, in November 2008 and April 2009. The final report, use of drugs and advocacy, was published in October 2009.
The research has analysed the advocacy of organisations defending the rights of drug users on local level (the Drug Plans of the Autonomous Community of Euskadi, Basque Country, Spain), and on European level (the Drug Action Plans of the European Union). It has been elaborated between october 2008 and april 2009 by the European Coalition for Just and Effective Drug Policy (ENCOD) in collaboration with various of its members in the Basque Country: Ganjazz, Ekimen 2000 and Iker Giraldo Cuadrado, and in Spain: FAC and FAUDAS.
