Somewhere in Belgium, the association of cannabis consumers and producers Trekt Uw Plant has installed a cannabis plantation, based on the principle of 1 plant per member. All members can put their plant in this plantation, on the condition that they fulfill all requirements: be over 18 years old, live in Belgium and consume cannabis.

This video is the evidence of the presentation, earlier this month, of the first trial harvest of the association Trekt Uw Plant, being a cannabisplant for some of its members. Therewith the association has made a significant contribution to the legal regulation of the Belgian cannabis market. It is also an important step to the complete self sufficiency for all its members.

In the concept of Trekt Uw Plant, which has been accepted by the Court of Appeal, users will be able to count with a product of constant quality, which will help them to rationalise and diminish their use. Also the illegal cultivation of cannabis, with all problems caused by the illegal environment, such as theft of electricity and violation of fire safety and environmental rules, will diminish significantly. When a plantation is tolerated by authorities, requirements can be established in the field of safety and environment.

Next month founding members of New Zealand’s first cannabis connoisseurs’ club, Auckland’s Daktory, plan to meet fellow users throughout the country to help set-up Daktories in other cities.

"We have demand from virtually every city in the country," Daktory founder Dakta Green told Sunday News.

"I would expect to see in the next 12 months Daktories in every major city in this country, every city should have at least one - 2010 is the year people within our culture are demanding changes throughout the world."
